1. Ridgewood's Tree Lighting

Get into the holiday spirit at Ridgewood's infamous tree lighting! Make your own s'mores at the fire pits, ride the trackless Christmas train, and take pictures at the snow globe in Memorial Park at Van Neste Square. Listen to live music, meet The Grinch with the Ridgewood Fire Department, and see Santa Claus at various locations in the Central Business District throughout the evening. The tree lighting countdown will be at 6:15 p.m., located at the corner of East Ridgewood Avenue and Broad Street.

2. Bergen County's Winter Wonderland

Bergen County's Winter Wonderland is a team-wide favorite! Attractions: Open Air Ice Skating, Kids' Beginner Synthetic Rink, Santa's North Pole Workshop (on select days), Carousel Rides, Indoor/Outdoor Beer Garden, and Food Trucks.

3. Abma's Farm

The perfect wholesome activity for family holiday fun. Grab a hot cocoa while getting in the holiday spirit at Abma's this winter while enjoying the Barnyard Petting Zoo open year-round, Santa Story Time on December 7th, 13th, and 17th, or a creative holiday workshop on December 17th and 20th.

4. Ridgewood Performing Arts Center's 17th Annual Holiday Show
Where: Bergen Academies in Hackensack
When: December 10th, 2022 | 1PM & 5PM
Over 100 dancers, ranging in age from 5 to 18, will perform in this year's holiday celebration, featuring colorful costumes and dramatic backdrops. The performance will feature dances from the second act of The Nutcracker, various lively dances that celebrate the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah, and a dance interpretation of the Night Before Christmas.

As North Jersey’s premier learn-to-ski/snowboard and tubing destination, Campgaw Mountain offers an alpine escape right in our own Bergen County backyard. Located a short distance from Routes 17, 208, and 287 in Mahwah, Campgaw is the closest ski area to the New York metro area.

When: Orchard of Lights runs until January 1st, 2023 | 5-8PM
Find fantastic trees and holiday lights at Demarest Farms this December. Pick your tree and enjoy the many seasonal foods and decorations offered at the quaint grocery store during the daytime. Take your car on a 30 minute guided tour through 32 acres of brilliant holiday light displays, warm up by the fire pit, and enjoy hot chocolate and s'mores.
