Marlboro

Welcome to Marlboro, one of Monmouth County's largest and most desirable townships. Nestled within this beautiful bedroom community, you'll discover upscale real estate, excellent job opportunities, top-rated schools, abundant shopping and recreational options, and more.

History
Marlboro Township, formed in 1848 from parts of Freehold Township, owes its name to the abundance of marl, first discovered here in 1768. This once-vital export was used as fertilizer and contributed to the area's early growth.

The Commute
Marlboro offers easy access to major highways like routes 9 and 18, connecting you to the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway. Excellent job opportunities abound in the region, particularly in neighboring Holmdel, home to international tech giant Vonage. Don't miss the cutting-edge Bell Works site during your visit!

Real Estate
Marlboro's real estate market accommodates a wide range of budgets. From sprawling estates to cozy townhomes, you'll find a variety of properties. The town's homes, old and new, often feature spacious outdoor areas to enjoy. Single-family homes range from the low $400s to over $2.5 million, while luxury homes are also available. Condos are limited but typically priced between the mid-$400s and $800s.

Quality of Life
While the cost of living in Marlboro is higher than the national average, the town's residents benefit from higher average wages. Day-to-day expenses, such as groceries, healthcare, and utilities, align with national averages.

Marlboro offers a plethora of activities. Explore parks, nature preserves, golf courses, and country clubs.
