Franklin Lakes

Pastoral community with a gorgeous landscape.

Welcome to Franklin Lakes

Franklin Lakes is a Bergen County borough characterized by rolling hills, lakes, and a placid pace of life. The community was formed in 1922 and named for William Franklin, an illegitimate son of Ben Franklin who served as New Jersey’s Governor. It is one of the most affluent communities in New Jersey, with an average household income of more than $220,000.

Franklin Lakes’ breathtaking architecture includes grand country manors, spacious European-inspired residences, and Hamptons-style mansions on multi-acre lots. As much care has been lavished on these properties’ sprawling grounds as their beautifully designed interiors and exteriors. Secluded within wooded countryside, Franklin Lakes’ magnificent homes feel like they belong to a world of their own.
